Hi, We have this SQL Server DBA position open with one of our client based out of Cleveland, OH. It is a 3-6 Months contract. Below is the complete job description. Position: SQL Server DBA Location: Cleveland, OH Duration: 3-6 Months Rate: DOE Minimum Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements - Depth knowledge of database modeling (ERD) utilizing AllFusion Erwin® - Depth knowledge of Enterprise Application Development and database needs - Depth knowledge of relational database, design and implementation - Depth knowledge of Microsoft® SQL ServerTM2000, 2005 and other related tools such as DTS, SSIS, Replication, Database mirroring and log shipping - Knowledge of Disaster and Recovery strategies such as Microsoft® Cluster Technology - Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Creativity and self-motivation - Ability to learn new technologies and take on responsibility - Ability to work independently and in a team environment with aggressive timetables - Understanding of the E&Y, and the Tax Operations organization and its strategic direction - Strong understanding of the culture of the Tax Operations practice - Research and information mining skills (Internet Research, work with the CBK) - Working knowledge of the entire Software Development Life Cycle Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements. Description: Description: The DBA will provide database expertise in architecture, design, implementation and integration of multi-tiered applications residing on RDBMS utilizing Microsoft® SQL ServerTM. The DBA must have an in-depth knowledge of relational, object oriented and data warehouse databases, design and implementation. The DBA will be responsible for application DB testing & support, D&R strategy and architecture, version control, object management, standards, code & design review, production staging & implementation planning, overseeing development efforts, support and training. Specific Functions: - Responsible for database technical design and architecture based on established standards - Responsible for application database review & testing developed both in-house and/or by external vendor. - Responsible for maintaining database code, objects, backups and version control in development, test and production environments. - Setup & Maintenance of multiple database environment(s) on each given project - Will work individually or with a technical team to develop a strategy and tools in order to perform data migration from multiple Platforms. - Cross training of both other DBAs and support staff - Script generation for auto population of test data - Data migration analysis, design and implementation - Work with off-site support staff on troubleshooting and repairing production issues Key Deliverables: - Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) by utilizing CA AllFusion Erwin® And MS Visio - White paper from research, development and tool evaluation - Database installation document - Database standards - Feedback (document) from database reviews Value of Role - Provide database solutions for application development - Provide facility to produce and maintain quality data efficiently - Provide documentation that articulates the database technical solutions that will be used to guide the delivery of the technical solution - Add value to the business by facilitating improved process design Raj Talukdar |SA Technologies Inc. 2700 Augustine Drive.
