Hi, This is Naresh. We have hot requirements on Hyperion Essbase Consultant. Please send me the updated resume of your consultant ASAP. Position : Hyperion Essbase Consultant Location : Princeton, NJ Duration : 3-6 Months Phone hire Need two professional references from recent projects Role and Responsibilities: · Client currently has Essbase 9.3 installed. Client wants to extract the data from Essbase and load it into their OutlookSoft (OLS) application. · This is a one-time process as they will abandon Essbase after the conversion. Client is currently running OSL release 4.2 SP 3 , but want to upgrade to release 5 after loading the Essbase data. · The Essbase cube(s) are all block storage and have several calculation scripts. They need someone to be able to convert the calc scripts, and presumably any formulas attached to members in the outline (metadata) to OLS. This would be done using MDX (a language for use in a multidimensional environment). MDX works both with Essbase and OLS, or rather MS Analysis Services, upon which OLS is built. · Client indicated that they have lots of Essbase resources but need a person with a very strong OLS skill-set. What I think they need is someone who is very strong with MDX and a very good understanding i=of Essbase calc scripts. OLS does not have the ability to run calc scripts so all calculations must be done in SQL Server or in the Excel spreadsheets. OLS uses WebExcel as a thin client, but regular Excel can also be used Qualifications and Education Requirements: >From our discussion it appears that Client wants a person who can do it all, >up to and including building a new OLS application to handle the Reliant data. >Then that person would oversee the upgrade to OLS release 5. Preferred Skills: Outlooksoft release 4.2 SP 3, but want to upgrade to release 5 after loading the Essbase data.
