Location: Los Angeles, CA Duration: 6+ months Phone screen followed by In-person interview Need two professional references from recent projects Here is the job description: SUMMARY: Microstrategy Developer will collaborate proactively with functional analysts to translate business and requirements into configurable component designs and solutions. This position will create functional and technical documentation; create Microstrategy schema objects, reports, and dashboards. Also, web and SDK experience is desired. Unit testing and production migration are included. The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of strong technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work effectively with other business and technology personnel and internal customers to provide very responsive support to this global application. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 1.. Meet with users and prepare business requirement documents, prepare the technical specification document and get the approval from business analysts to start with the MicroStrategy report development. 2.. Develop Microstrategy templates, auto styles, attributes, facts, metrics, custom groups, prompts, and filters as needed 3.. Develop new as well as existing MicroStrategy reports, report services documents, dashboards, scorecards, html documents, free form SQL reports. 4.. Schedule automated reports run in Narrowcast or Distribution services 5.. Troubleshoot server and project level configuration settings. 6.. Monitor and enhance system performance and tune the system by efficient management of report, history, object and element caches. 7.. Participate in the testing process of the developed reports by comparing the MSTR SQL with the SQL written by us. 8.. Participate in user testing and signoff process. Coordinated in customizing the web using the MSTR SDK Skills: Required: a.. Gathering requirements, Analysis and Documentation skills b.. Business Intelligence and Data warehousing skills c.. Experience creating Microstrategy Reports, Documents and Dashboards d.. PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle, Informatica experience desired e.. XML and web services (.NET or Java) experience desired Preferred a.. Proficiency with MS Project/Visio b.. Bi-lingual c.. Achieves results under limited direction d..
