*Here is the Job Description*: *Applications Systems Analyst East Haven, CT 3 months* *Job Responsibilities*: Application support position within the IPS Web Support team, performing second-level production support, analysis and maintenance of web based applications. The successful candidate will work with other members and teams in application development, quality assurance, content data quality, project management, and technical operations on a variety of projects, support and other day-to-day tasks. The main focus of this position will be to ensure optimal uptime and problem resolution for all applications within the Web Support realm. *Required Skills*: 1. Strong UNIX / Linux skills with at least 4 years experience 2. Apache HTTP Server and Apache-Tomcat admin and performance tuning skills with at least 4 years experience 3. PL/SQL and SQL proficiency (Oracle/PostgreSQL) with at least 3 years experience 4. Understanding of multi-tiered web application architecture 5. Understanding of Internet technologies such as TCP / IP protocols, HTTP protocol and proxy servers 6. Strong communication skills 7. Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills 8. Ability to demonstrate creative thinking, advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills 9. Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team 10.
