We are looking for System Engineers not Java Developers
*Tittle: System Engineer*
*Duration: 6 to 12 months.*

*This role is top priority*
*This is from the MGR on a previously interviewed person on what to screen
for*
*Java Appserver/Unix admin and has little to no experience on windows or
with integrating or supporting any 3rd party applications. He’s not a
definite no, he’s a maybe at this point, but we’d like to have you keep
looking and we still have the other person to interview tomorrow. When you
screen, you might want to mention the following 3rd party applications and
see if you get any hits; Appian, DST, Lombardi, Pega, Business
Intelligence, BPM, etc?*
Requires a minimum of five years hands-on experience in multi-site
heterogeneous network environments.
· 5+ years of experience in supporting application deployment &
troubleshooting ofJ2EE applications in production environment.
· Solid J2EE Application Server (preferably JBoss or Tomcat) and
Windows IIS/.Net experience
· Experience with Windows 2008 and VMware vSphere (any flavor of
UNIX/Linux is a plus)
· Understanding and experience integrating with or supporting a JMS
messaging infrastructure (TIBCO EMS or IBM WebSphereMQ)
· Understanding and experience integrating with Web Services
· Knowledge of databases and database technology (Oracle/MSSQL)
· Experience with supporting 99.9% SLA production services
· Knowledge and understanding of various networking protocols and
services, LAN topology, routers, hubs, switches and OSI model including
WAN/Frame Relay/MPLS, DHCP, IP, DNS, IP routing, NAT, LDAP, RADIUS, SFTP,
Telnet, SSH, TCP/UDP, TCP handshaking, proxy, SNMP, SMTP
· Basic understanding of certificates, SSL handshakes, encryption
· Understanding of load balancing, clustering, high availability
and disaster recovery
· Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
· Experience in release management is a plus
· Requires demonstrated understanding of core Bank business
applications and operations, financial experience preferred highly.
· Must be proficient participating in and leading integrated
process teams, as well as coordinating and communicating customer
requirements.
· Comfortable in providing technical leadership within the
business, application/systems, data/information and technical architecture
disciplines. Must have excellent communication skills (both written and
verbal) to be able to clearly explain the benefits of an architectural
approach to clients and stakeholders.
· Security and/or infrastructure experience is a significant
benefit.
· Requires willingness and ability to adapt to rapid changes in
order to support and use future technology.
· Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to
problem-solve complex technical issues.
· Requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills,
including the ability to meet deadlines, work in a team environment, follow
written policies and procedures, and maintain superior customer service at
all times.
· Must exercise a reasonable amount of independent judgment under a
minimum of supervision.
· Team player.
· Provides extraordinary service.
