Responsibilities
Experience ensuring server and application functioning inside of HDF
control and identifying issues outside of HDF control such as
virtualization environment as well as optimizing server configuration and
performance Experience defining event log configuration and archiving
approach to meet support demands while managing storage impact Ability to
maintain and execute server configuration scripts to ensure proper
configuration of core services - IIS, ASP.NET, WCF, FTP, AD FS, Windows
Services, Service accounts, Oracle, TNSNAMES, Log file directories, NAS
directories, WebDAV Ability to create scripts / tools for validating the
post-deployment environment (configuration files, binaries) Experience with
ProActiveNet Ability to work with ProactiveNet and the application team to
refine the alerts - identify additional monitoring points, define more
appropriate thresholds, etc.
Experience with troubleshooting configuration issues - Web.config, AD FS
relying parties, endpoint configuration, etc.
Experience creating, submitting and following up on GSAFs for user access,
service account creation, service account access, functional account
management, NAS access, server access, Oracle access Enough Oracle
knowledge to be able to engage the Oracle team to ensure performance /
optimal configuration of the Oracle integration

Others
Ensure server and application healthy functioning (areas inside of HDF
control) Help identify / assess ongoing server healthy functioning (areas
outside of HDF control such as virtualization environment)Optimize server
configuration and performance Define event log configuration and archiving

ProActiveNet alerts and respond quickly / effectively to assure system
health.  Follow up on ProactiveNet alerts.

etc.
Troubleshoot configuration issues - Web.config, AD FS relying parties,
endpoint configuration, etc.
Provide input into the scale up / out discussion Improve infrastructure
processes over time - improve scripts, provide more effective / efficient
visibility into system health (e.g. through log file filters / tools),
increase level of automation, improve level of monitoring, improve level of
recoverability (e.g. Hdf Task Scheduler service recoverability) As needed -
Create, submit and follow up on GSAFs for user access, service account
creation, service account access, functional account management, NAS
access, server access, Oracle access As needed - Create, submit and follow
up on service tickets for server infrastructure (servers, NAS, databases).
Support resolution of development infrastructure issues (new VMs, VM
issues, VM template / configuration updates) Recommend improvements to HDF
infrastructure and processes Engage Oracle team to ensure performance /
optimal configuration of the Oracle integration Create scripts / tools for
validating the post-deployment environment (configuration files, binaries)
Create disaster recovery plan Optional - Create and maintain the
application build/deploy scripts, making improvements and reducing the
maintenance overhead and risk of errors / issues
