Senior Java Developer / Architect (Play Framework) Brooklyn NY 9 months+ *In person is needed. Seeking a Senior Java Developer / Architect to work with our client in the Public Sector. *Required Experience:* • Minimum 7 years programming with Java EE, XML, Web Services and other key Java technologies • Minimum 5 years' experience developing distributed applications • Minimum 3 years' experience performing in a lead role on major projects • Minimum 3 years' experience integrating UI with Java and Scala based web layer technology Play Framework • Proven expertise in Web UI Technologies including XML, XHTML/HTML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS, HTML5. • Strong experience with Application Servers (Tomcat) and Expert-level understanding of networking protocols, in particular HTTP. • Ability to share technical knowledge and clearly communicate technical concepts *Desirable Skills:* • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies including rapid prototyping, test driven development (TDD, BDD), continuous integration, etc. • Experience with database related development in Oracle 11G and PL-SQL • Experience with SOA concepts, design, tools, techniques, best practices • Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations • Relevant Certifications a strong plus Thanks, VINNI | Oberon IT 1300 W.
