*Job Title: Senior Java Developer*
*Location: Greensboro, NC*
*Duration:- 6+ months *
*Description:*
- Senior Programmers are expected to have in-depth technical experience
and the ability to apply that experience to specific business challenges.
- Senior Programmers exhibit a strong desire to build high-performance,
highly-available and scalable systems.
*Experience Level Description:*
- The experience level for this position is defined as having 6+ years
in the IT space and 4+ years in the specific technology set they are
recruited for.
- Resources at this level would be expected to be able to take on
loosely defined technical tasks and complete them with little oversight.
- A Senior Programmer will display excellent oral and written
communication skills and posses the ability to speak and listen effectively.
*Responsibilities:*
- Work closely with Tech Leads to identify technical solutions to
business problems.
- Execute component level development tasks with little direction.
- Demonstrate the ability to create scalable software solutions based on
UML diagrams and business requirements.
- Mentor junior developers in new technologies.
- Assure that all technical deliverables are consistent with
organizational standards.
- Capable of coming up to speed quickly on new tools and software.
- Provide production support of existing systems as needed.
*Hands-on General Technology Experience:*
- JEE (J2EE) 1.4, 1.5
- JSE (J2SE) 1.4, 5, 6
- Spring, ORM Tools, AOP, JUnit
- XML: XSD, XSLT, DTD
- Web service technologies
- Web presentation technologies
- Database platforms
- Object-oriented analysis and design skills
- UML: design patterns
- Advanced refactoring experience
- Ability to be hands-on with tools & frameworks.
*Advanced experience in one or more of the following domains is a plus*
- Service Oriented Architecture
- Reusable component driven design
- Enterprise security models
- Cloud & distributed computing
- Messaging, reliable messaging
- Enterprise service bus utilization
