Job Title: Risk Manager Location: Boston, MA Full time position Risk and Regulatory Development Manager, VP The Risk and Regulatory Program is a corporate initiative focused on establishing a mature and comprehensive risk management capability working very closely with the Enterprise Risk Management, Finance and Treasury business lines. The position in focus here is the overall development manager of the Risk and Regulatory technology (RRT) team which is responsible for the application development and support that enables this function. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with strong engineering experience in the Risk domain, well developed technical/architecture skills, and mature management acumen to successfully deliver technical solutions that meet the program objectives. Roles & Responsibilities The following are key roles and responsibilities: Lead RRT development and maintenance/support for the integrated suite of approximately 30 RRT applications and directing a team of approximately 100 developers. Important near term development focus will be on Credit Risk MIS, Counterparty Credit Stress Testing, and a standardized Risk data validation, aggregation and reporting process that meets the Fed mandated BCBS 239 principles. Leverage Risk/Regulatory domain knowledge to understand the strategic Risk business priorities and requirements, and architect/develop strategic, straight through solutions to meet the business need. Envision, prototype, implement and adopt best practices and architecture for RRT deliveries. Included in these practices are the Agile development methodology and the concept of Data-System-Security-Resiliency architecture. Adopt and promote application, data, and process reuse across all of RRT deliveries. Provide mentorship and day-to-day management for global team. Proactively manage system uptime and timely incident resolutions. Skills and Experience: Strong leadership and organizational awareness with ability to facilitate and resolve conflicts 12+ years of experience in professional software development with 6+ years as a development manager and architect leading development and implementation of complex systems 10+ years of Financial Services Industry experience is required.
