Cypress Care Duluth, GA 12 month contract/ Long Term Extension Java Web Developer Green Card and US Citizens ONLY Senior level candidates 10+ years of experience is ideal MUST HAVE SQL Job Description Cypress Care Inc. is searching for qualified candidates to fill a Java Web Programming position within the IT department. The Java Web Programmer will design, build and maintain existing Java Web applications related to Cypress Care’s core business. The position will require the ability to work with other IT members and other non-technical personnel to understand, analyze and build software solutions for the insurance and related industries. The position requires the ability to work independently as well as within a small team. *Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Other Duties May Be Assigned)* - Develop new programs outlined in requirement specifications and communicate with the product team to resolve questions as they arise. - Modify existing programs to resolve problems or add functionality based upon problems identified by the support group or enhancements received from the product team. Work with both groups to resolve questions as they arise. - Research assignments and document all changes and enhancements and comply with the programming standards and other policies and procedures. - Perform sufficient level testing to identify and resolve problems before the modification or enhancement is promoted to production environment - Notify department management of problems or questions immediately that may prevent or delay work and inform them of changes needed in estimated hours or estimated completion dates for assigned tasks. Attend and participate in weekly team meetings. - Perform modernization to existing programs as required to improve maintainability. - Follow the change control process to ensure that version control is maintained on all programs. - Work with other Cypress Care departments to resolve open issues.
