Database Engineer Duration: 7+ months Van Buren Township, MI Job Summary: The Platform Engineer - AppFactory is responsible for assisting businesses in re-factoring and migrating their applications to cloud providers. In this role, you will work closely with business application owners and enterprise architects to create and leverage best practices, mentor teams, and provide technical domain expertise to accelerate migrating applications to the cloud. Responsibilities Work closely with application owners to understand the purpose and functionality of the applications to improve the success of migrations Provide architectural consultation to application teams utilizing best practices, design patterns and standards in modifying and migrating applications to public and hybrid cloud environments Educate and mentor peers and application teams on best practices for modifying and migrating existing applications into cloud-aware applications Document best practices, design patterns and standards that will be common to multiple applications.
