Position: Information Security Analyst
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 1year.
Responsibilities:
- Information security/assurance of server and network assets.
- Design, development, integration, testing and operation of secure
network platforms and environments.
- Ability to anticipate problems and mitigate risk through planning and
process.
- Entrepreneurial approach to solving difficult technical and
organizational process problems.
- Perform vulnerability and Attack & Penetration assessments in
traditional and wireless networking environments using specialized tools.
- Integrate security into all aspects of IT, that includes systems and
processes
- Application penetration testing.
- Database log analysis and using related tools.
- Information gathering, report writing and presentation.
- Enforce Information Security policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Experience in full life cycle information technology solution
implementation from conceptualization, requirements, design and
specification through development (coding), integration testing and
commissioning.
- Software development/coding expertise using two or more object oriented
programming languages (e.g. C++, Java, .NET) and scripting languages (e.g.
ASP, JSP, PHP).
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Windows, networking, telephony and
wireless security skills.
- In depth experience with Information System Security (ISS),PKI,
firewalls, intrusion detection/protection and related vulnerability
assessment tools for network periphery and internal network/service
discovery and topology mapping.
- Must have strong incident handling experience including knowledge of
common probing and attack methods, network/service discovery, system
auditing, viruses, and worms.
- Security testing ofEnterprise networks through ethical hacking.
- Application security source code assessments.
- Demonstrated understanding ofTCP/IP networking.
- Demonstrated understanding of Databases and their logs.
- Involvement with SOX, GLBA standards.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize both manual and automated attack
methods to assess and penetrate perimeter, intermediate and internal
traditional and wireless networks.
- Demonstrate ability to identify security related deficiencies and to
formulate and present sound recommendations for remediation.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly, to both technical and
non-technical audiences, risks, threats, and vulnerabilities identified
during assessments.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of security processes for
installation, management, monitoring and response of enterprise networks.
- Must demonstrate self-motivation with a strong ability to work in a
multi-tasking, changing environment
- Multiple certifications (CISSP, CISA) in information
security/assurance.
Skills/Experience:
- BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math or Engineering
plus 8+ years of experience -OR-
MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Engineering
or Information Systems plus 5+ years of experience
