Description:



Work closely with the PepsiCo engineering and infrastructure team to help
build Unix expertise - Define and implement verification and validation
practices, standards and processes in the Unix environments.
- Leverage existing processes and tools while identifying and improving gaps
to the EDI application.
- Maintain operations, gather metrics, monitor systems and troubleshoot
problems to ensure the integrity of production systems.

* Job Description:*

Provide support to teams and applications that provide for the exchange of
business data via the suite of B2B communication tools which service the
Electronic Commerce Gateway environment. Through the use of a hands-on
approach, support infrastructure applications and team initiatives. Provide
day-to-day GIS administrative support, system tuning and capacity planning.
Maintain operations, gather metrics, monitor systems and troubleshoot
problems to ensure the integrity of production systems in order to meet
established standards. Plan and execute software upgrades, script
enhancements and make recommendations targeted to enhance the efficiency,
security and stability of the gateway environment. Participate in the
Incident Management and Problem Management processes as a resolver
accountable for root cause analysis, resolution and reporting. Ensure that
all production changes are processed according to Change Management policies
and procedures. Sets priorities; quickly zeros in on the critical few and
puts the trivial many aside; can juggle numerous tasks and priorities while
maintaining productive flow of work; is flexible and adaptable -
Communicates clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings
and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect, including
ongoing issues and infrastructure; Strong interpersonal skills and team
orientation





*Required Qualifications*

 - Broad B2B application background with at least 2 years experience on
TIBCO products, MQ, Apache, PGP, and GIS Sterling Commerce experience -
Familiarity with Java - JavaScript J2EE (JDBC, RMI, EJB, JNDI, JMS). -
Proficient in Unix (HP, AIX,Linux) and Unix scripting (awk/sed/ksh/perl) -
Solid Oracle/SQL, Sql*Plus and PL/SQL skills, data analysis and
troubleshooting skills, be able to research data/application issues in
custom stored procedure packages and data sets. Write queries to provide
additional information about application and data inside database. -
Effectively communicate with internal and external clients including working
with software vendors. - 4 years of knowledge/experiences with performance
engineering at the application level or OS level. - 4 years Application
Administration, preferably B2B application or GIS. - 5 years experience with
providing Operational Support Desired Skills Have experience with Business
Process creation and troubleshooting, command line adapter configuration,
and solid PGP and PKI infrastructure experience in a mission critical,
multi-site enterprise environment Application clustering technologies.
