*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
The Business Objects Architect/Developer has the overall responsibility for
assessing requirements and defining strategy, technical architecture,
implementation plan, delivery, administration and support production for a
Columbus, Ohio company’s Business Objects BI Solution.
For this role, candidates should possess strong systems architecture and
design skills. Must be able to communicate with business users and interpret
their requirements to deliver tactical universe implementation strategy and
design. We are looking for individuals with at least 6 years of experience
in IT.
This person will assist in the development of moderately complex IT
architecture projects, applying engineering and software design theories and
principles in developing product hardware and software interfaces. He or she
will provide integrated systems analysis and recommend innovative
technologies that will enhance the current system, recommending appropriate
hardware, software, and communication links required to support IT goals and
strategy. May coordinate the activities of the project team and assist in
monitoring project schedules and costs.
*SPECIFIC SKILLS:*
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing and implementing complex
Business Objects solutions
- Business Objects XI or higher
- Universe Development
- Dashboard development with dashboard builder/manager
- Very strong SQL skills, including expertise in aggregation, analytics
window functions, subqueries, exists and other complex operators.
- Experience with Business Objects Server Administration and Support
- Experience using aggregate aware, contexts for multi subject Universes,
use of derived tables, complex measure using functions, complex logical
counts, and averages.
