Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions. Defines, designs, and builds dimensional databases. Responsible for developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems. Evaluates reusability of current data for additional analyses. Conducts data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused, or duplicate data. Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: . experience establishing, managing and maintaining very large and complex data architectures for multiple business applications . experience making recommendations on data features, re-engineering data and overall direction of data or object architectures. . ensures the adequacy of models and designs . experience with analysis and design of metadata and metadata solutions . strong experience in designing data structures for data warehousing . experience analyzing complex business requirements . experience in data conversion, reverse engineering, and data mapping . strong communication skills (oral and written) . experience with data flow diagramming . knowledge of Oracle database .
