Job : Project Manager
Location : Austin, TX
Duration : 10 months+
Project Overview:
The Worker will be the Project Manager for a large, complex
infrastructure implementation project converting a Time Division
Multiplexing (TDM) network to a Voice Over IP (VOIP) environment using
Cisco equipment. The Worker will be responsible for developing and
maintaining a project plan to transition over about 80 remote
locations; working with team members to ensure on-time delivery of the
project tasks and deliverables; ensuring timely identification and
resolution of issues, including resolution of resource conflicts;
developing and implementing a communication plan, including end users
to executive management; developing and implementing a risk management
plan, including mitigation strategies as appropriate; tracking and
communicating project status to key stakeholders; and other project
management tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
8 Project Management experience.
4 Experience managing large, complex infrastructure in a
Telecommunications project
4 Experience in identifying, communicating, and
mitigating project
risk.
4 Experience in creating, maintaining, and communicating
project
work plans, schedules, budgets, and other project deliverables.
4 Experience in tracking and communicating project status
with cross-
functional work teams.
4 Experience in identifying, analyzing, and solving
problems and
issues on projects.
4 Experience in consulting and communicating with key
stakeholders
regarding requirements and resolving resource issues.
4 Knowledge of industry-standard project management
terms, tools,
and techniques.
Strong Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Excellent organizational skills
Preferences:

4 MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
3 Experience converting over to a VOIP (Voice over IP)
solution
utilizing Cisco equipment.
3 Knowledge of Cisco Routers, Ethernet Switches, Voice
and data
circuits, PBXs, Call Managers, Voice recording systems and IVR
solutions. Understanding of call flow, call routing and DIR’s
Telecommunications network.
2 Texas state agency experience
Certification PMP Certification
