Websphere Application Server (WAS) Administrator ================== · Monitor WAS environment using native tools as well as HP Openview. · Provide 24x7 on-call support for WAS environment. · Design, implement and manage WAS domains including resource management, security policy management, and application management. · Install and configure WAS users and groups. · Troubleshoot and tune WAS installations •Work with technical support, product management and/or engineering personnel to provide product feedback and enhancement requests. · Deliver expertise and support in resolving application issues. · Advocate internal technology standards and architecture to all current and future projects. · Provide technical expertise on systems, market trends, technology directions, and product directions as directed. Skills: · 5+ years of IT Experience including a minimum of 3 years in a Unix/Solaris System Administrator role with a minimum of 2 years of WAS experience. · Previous development experience with Java, J2EE, Application Servers, and XML desired. · Ability to analyze and learn rap idly changing technologies. · Excellent communication skills, written and oral. · Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment. · Experienced as Websphere Application Server Administrator: (Required). · Expertise in Websphere Application Server installation, administration and configuration - Version 6.1 (Required). · Expertise in HA configuration experience (Required).
