Extensive knowledge of RDBMS. • Expertise in planning and implementing MS SQL server security and database permissions. • Highly experienced in Database Backup, Recovery and Disaster Recovery procedures. • Hands on experience in trouble shooting database issues. • Experience in implementing different types of Replication models like Snapshot, Merge and transactional. • Maintained Database authentication modes, creation of users, configuring permissions and assigning roles to users. • Created complex DTS Packages for Data Migration and Transformation. Experience in data migration from Oracle/Access/Excel Sheets using SQL Server SSIS. • Transformed data from one server to other servers using tools like Bulk Copy Program (BCP) and Data Transformation Services (DTS). • Experience in converting DTS packages to SSIS packages. • Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server Connectivity, Database consistency checks using DBCC Utilities. • Excellent backend skills in creating SQL objects like Tables, Stored Procedures, Views, Indexes, Triggers, Rules, Defaults, user defined data types and functions. Extensive experience in writing complex Transact-SQL. • Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). • Using Performance Monitor/Profiler to solve Dead Locks/Long running queries. • Involved in optimizing code and improving efficiency in databases including re-indexing, updating statistics, recompiling stored procedures and performing other tasks using SQL Profiler, Execution Plan, Performance Monitor and DBCC Commands. • Worked closely with management, applications development staff, and users on database solutions to business problems. • Defined and administered database standards, controls, procedures and documented the same. • Experience working with production and 24 x 7 on call environments.
