Job Classification: Application Systems Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: 6+months with likely extension THIS REQUIREMENT CLOSES VERY SOON Job Description: As a JAVA / Web Services developer you will gain a strong understanding of the systems end to end work flow, technical architecture and bank business knowledge. You will work with the team towards building/developing new business services using latest technologies. You will participate in analysis/design of the web services, development and unit testing of web services, supporting QA groups andclients during the testing phase and supporting production implementation of the services. You will also be called upon to document design and best practices as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal if you have exposure to at least some of these technical languages/products: OOAD, Java 1.4 or higher and J2EE (POJO and Servlet), Tomcat 6.0, SOAP Stack (Apache Axis or Systinet), XSD, XML, XSLT, WSDLs, Spring Framework, SQL and JDBC (Informix and DB2), Eclipse, JUnit, Ant, Clearcase, JProbe. Must possess technical understanding of developing Enterprise Web Services specific applications in a Windows environment, deploy on HP- Unix or Solaris. Some back ground in production support and management of problems and resolving issues is desired. Proficiency in writing code, comments, and unit testing. Experience with distributed systems (HTTP, SSL, Networking, Multi-tier environment) and experience with host data access protocols (e.g., MQ, DB2 connect) is desired. PREFERRED SKILLS: Should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills Must be a quick thinker, learner, go-doer who can independently resolve problems with less direction. A good team player who can collaborate and work closely with multiple functional groups.
