Join the EIT Data Management Team to help with the administration of Client's SAN environment. The selected candidate will work with a team of Storage Administrators managing the daily tasks of supporting 1.5 PBs of EMC storage and 1 TB of Storage Works storage. The tasks will include *storage design*, *problem resolution of new hardware configurations, monitoring and vendor management in a 24x365 shop.* The candidate should be willing to *document processes and procedures* as needed for the team. The candidate is also expected to be willing to work in a fast paced team driven environment and should be a self starter. Qualifications Thorough technical understanding of the following concepts as they relate to Strorage Administration: 1. SAN Fabric design 2. LUN Creation 3. Switch monitoring 4. Storage array monitoring 5. Fabric monitoring 6. HBA settings recommendations 7. PowerPath installation and configuration 8. EMC CX600 and CX700 support 9. HP StorageWorks support 10. Understanding Brocade Fabric design 11. Brocade switch management Desired Skills The candidate must have a BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Minimum requirements include at least 2 years of full time experience as a *Storage Administrator*. The candidate will be required to be proficient *firmware management*, * switch* management, *backup* management and great *troubleshooting skills*. The candidate should also be capable of doing UNIX *shell scripting* and/or Windows scripting. The ability to manage various different kinds of hardware is a necessity. The ability and willingness to document system changes is a necessity. Project planning will be a tremendous asset to the team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are highly desired. Other Information The incumbent will be required to provide *remote support* for the systems via on-call rotation amongst team members.
