POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for a rising star that is eager to play an integral
role in technical projects, operations processes, resource planning,
and scheduling project work for the Technical Operations team.
This position will coordinate, track and manage tasks for technical
projects for the Network Services Technical Operations team. Primary
responsibilities include creating, revising, communicating, and
tracking technical project plans. Secondary responsibilities include
publishing project data and status on a Share Point 2007 site. In
addition, the technical project manager is responsible for providing
insight and analysis of work requests throughout the Operations team
and supporting customer’s management with reporting needs and
documentation (via HP Service Desk, Project Server EPK, and other
tools). This person will also work closely with other project managers
and the PMO. This requires forecasting labor hours, tracking and
reporting on actual hours, ensuring all project/M&S codes are set up
in the TSS time tracking system, and reconciling all time tracking
with the Network Services team.
This position will work with Technical Operations project managers and
provides direct support to the manager of Network Services. The role
requires someone who is inventive; extremely detail oriented, very
organized and flexible. Familiarity with project management in support
of Technical Operations infrastructure projects is required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage projects using Microsoft Project and other Project
Management tools
· Track and manage project and tasks and risks
· Communicate project status to stakeholders and customers
· Develop effective project plan based on task assessment
· Collect and report on Resource actual versus forecasts
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
* 2-5 years of progressive broad-based managing information
systems projects with technology, business analysis, or back office
business process experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Team player, exhibiting common sense and analytical reasoning.
* Proven ability to work with all members of a project team,
including business leaders, technical leaders, software engineers, and
system administrators.
* Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented and capable of
tracking, managing, and resolving issues on multiple projects
simultaneously.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
* Expert in project management processes and lifecycles using
common frameworks.
* Experience managing complex Operations projects that include
project task prioritization, planning, estimating, work assignment,
documentation and quality assurance at every stage of a project.
· Proven ability to work within formal processes that assure a
quality product and operational integrity.
· Proven ability to produce project documentation, including writing
project briefs and functional specifications, all with attention to
detail
· Basic understanding of internet technologies, server technologies,
networking and protocols (e.g. IIs, Windows 2003, HTTP, etc.).
* Proven data organization skills; ability to successfully
communicate detail-rich activities to a variety of audiences.
* Account or customer relationship management experience a plus.
