*SQL DBA* *Bothell** WA*** *LOCALS required, face to face* * * *TOP SKILLS NEEDED: SQL 2000/2005, Performance Tuning, Replication, Clustering, Log Shipping*** * * *Specific Responsibilities:* · May provide mentoring and leadership to other Systems Engineers. · Administers the configuration, installation, maintenance and upgrades of Windows-based applications and supporting hardware and software tools. · Administers all MS SQLServers hosted by client. · Manages security for these applications in conjunction with clients security policies. · Monitors availability and performance of Windows-based applications. · Monitors SQLServer databases and manages daily operational tasks including backups · Develops procedures for Computer Operations staff. · Provides training on systems for Computer Operations staff. · Provides problem resolution on Windows-based applications for customers, working with both internal and external resources · Assists with sizing and capacity planning. · Performs other duties as requested. They should be able to do general DBA duties like: replication, performance tuning, clustering, log shipping, etc. *Education & Experience:* · Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or above from four-year college or university in computer science or a related field required. · Minimum 3-5 years of technical experience with increasing responsibilities and technical aptitude. · Experience in the areas of change management, capacity planning, incident tracking and reporting, monitoring and alerting, system upgrades, backup and recovery required · Systems experience with Windows-based applications required. · Excellent technical knowledge of PC hardware and software, operating systems, networking, data communications and related technologies required Systems administration experience in Windows/NT operating system desired.
