Senior IS database Administrator In this dynamic role your primary responsibilities will be: * Planning, installation, and setup of databases to meet application and security requirements. * Configuration, performance tuning, monitoring, and maintenance of SQL 2000 and 2005 databases. * Use of Analysis Services and Reporting services for SQL 2000 and 2005 * Auditing of production systems for security, capacity, and usage. * Be available to be on with some weekend and night work required. * Understanding of Active Directory, Kerberos, Clustering, SAN’s in an enterprise environment. * Schedule and prioritize database activities on projects involving the deployment of application databases. * Maintain existing database servers and clients using available admin tools. * Monitor database servers and their usage and capacity to minimize problems and outages. * Define, develop, implement, and maintain the process involved in database administration, maintenance, security, backup, and recovery. * Proactively works with technical support, communications support, and vendors to resolve problems. * Works to expand knowledge of banking and workgroup software and to maintain technological currency in network, mainframe, client server, and internet/intranet platforms.
