*We are seeking an Oracle AD Lead, with expertise in ETL processes and data
reporting, to work in the design and development of a comprehensive data
mart. The mart's subject area is the configuration management of an
extremely large and heterogeneous distributed server and storage
environment, at a major multinational financial company.*

*The candidate must have significant expertise in the Oracle 10g platform,
covering the following areas:*
*- PL/SQL development*
*- Data model design *
*- Extraction-Transform-Load mechanisms (ETL)*
*- Data merge and reconciliation*
*- Database Administration (RAC experience strong plus)*
*- Production Support*
*- Reporting*
* *
*Recent experience as technical lead of a database development team is
required. Candidate is expected to show strong leadership skills, set
technical direction, mentor team members, and drive technical design and
execution decisions.*

*Candidates with proven subject area expertise in the following areas will
be considered a strong plus:*
* *
*- Distributed server hardware architecture, ranging from single
CPU environments to multi-CPU, multi-domain hardware*
*- Networking topics pertaining distributed servers, largely TCP/IP
centric*
*- Operating system architecture and design, with particular focus
on deployment configurations across multiple hardware and/or virtual hosts*
*- Web and Database servers*
*- Virtualized server environments (e.g. VMWare)*
*- Large-scale storage environments: Networked Attached Storage
(NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN), including both physical
characteristics and relationships with distributed servers*
*- Financial model of large-scale IT organizations, including cost
centers, chargeback billing, and direct/indirect costing*
*- Software and hardware auto discovery tools, such as Tideway
Systems*

*This is a 100% technical hands-on position, ranging the entire software
lifecycle. On-call Production support is also required, on an occasional
basis (a separate Operations team provides day to day support)*

*This is an on-site position in Jersey City, NJ.*
Qualifications
- *12+ years of Information Technology experience, with at least ten
years experience in RDBMS platforms *
- *Recent experience as a technical lead of a database software
development team*
- *In-depth expertise in Oracle 10g, including high availability
configurations using RAC*
- *Experience with standard data mart practices, such as ETL, summary /
detail data models, etc. Hands-on experience with an ETL tool, such as
Oracle Warehouse Builder or Informatica, a strong plus but not required*
- *Strong, proven experience in PL/SQL programming*
- *Ability to provide off-hours Production Support as required by the
business *
- *Proven ability to perform in a high pressure financial environment
with extremely quick turnaround requirements (hours rather than days or
weeks) *
- *Computer Science or comparable engineering degree a strong plus*
- *Experience/advanced knowledge of logical and physical database
modeling concepts and techniques *
- *Experience creating logical entities and defining their attributes as
well as defining the relationships between the various data objects. *
- *Experience designing physical data models and generating initial Data
Definition Language*
- *Experience with reporting tools, such as Crystal Reports*
