Summary
* Infrastructure architecture, new technology implementation,
research and evaluation of emerging technologies, strategic technology
planning, technical project consulting, infrastructure validation,
technical project leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Working independently within guidelines
* Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates specific new and emerging
technologies, platforms and services across project initiatives
* Plays a key role in the assessment of technical viability of new
products and technologies.
* Identifies and investigates technological alternatives, pros and
con’s per solution and recommends direction.
* Participates in developing business cases and obtaining
approvals for capital expenditures for technological advancements and
improvements.
* Analyzes proposed and actual projects in terms of feasibility,
approach and adherence to technical specifications, timelines, and
infrastructure standards.
* Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
* Minimum five (5) years related experience preferred.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written
communication skills.
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
* Extensive creativity required across areas of expertise.
* A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is
required.
* Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform
this job.
* Ability to provide supervision and technical support for project
initiatives.
* Strong knowledge of project management as it relates to work
plan creation, issues, problem identification, resolution, and process
changes required to meet project demands.
* Demonstrated technical implementation skills, with the ability
to lead large projects/initiatives, prioritize work assignments and
meet milestones/deadlines.
* Skills associated with managing priorities and tasks to assure
on-time project delivery.
* Reviews and ensures a high level of quality and service are
maintained by meeting or exceeding commitments.
* Identify trends to improve project delivery.
* Initiates corrective measures to resolve problems.
* Interfaces with diverse levels of internal and external
personnel.
* Experience in Information Technology, with emphasis on
Infrastructure Implementation.
* Working experience with software development methodologies
(SDLC, RUP, Hybrid).
* Experienced in leading resources in the completion of a task.
* Understanding of business knowledge and emerging business
trends.
* Proficiency with MS Office Tools.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
* Ability to work under general direction.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written
communication skills.
Preferred Experience
· Experienced in documenting and prioritizing project plans in
addition to ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget.
* Involvement in technical decision-making activities.
* Sun One Java Enterprise Technologies: IAM, Access MGR, LDAP,
Webservers
* Distributed platform technology: Windows, AIX, Solaris
* Infrastructure background: servers, network, portals, mainframe,
security, Aspect/Cisco Contact Center
