Job Classification: Storage Implementation Specialist

Location: Charlotte, NC (LOCALS HIGHLY PREFERRED) or Non Locals ready
for a face to face interview.
Duration: 6 + month contract with likely extension

Description

One of the world's leading financial institutions is in need of a
Storage Implementation Specialist in Charlotte, NC. Please do not

The chosen Storage Implementation Specialist will be responsible for
the deployment of a storage infrastructure based on strategies,
policies and procedures developed by the Lead Architect. Requirements
and responsibilities:

• Design, plan and implement projects in support of day-to-day
production requirements as well as disaster recovery initiatives.
• Provide level 2 and 3 Production Support as required. Must have
broad, large SAN environment troubleshooting abilities.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years experience in all types of storage
technologies including EMC and HDS storage technology, McDATA and
Cisco SAN switches.
• Senior level knowledge and understanding of replication including
design, configuration and implementation.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of EMC array configuration tools
and software including Symm CLI, ECC and Work Load Analyser.
• Knowledge and understanding of configuration of Storage layouts
including but not limited too Raid 1 and Raid 5.
• Knowledge and understanding of disaster recovery methodologies and
best practices.
• Strong telecommunication technical background and experience.
• Demonstrate senior experience in SAN fabric design and best
practices.
• Demonstrate experience in design and deployment of large scale
storage environments.
• Ability to manage multiple large projects.
• Solid PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Working
knowledge of Windows NT, Win2K, Win2003, AIX, HPUX, Sun Solaris and
Suse Linux.
• Self motivated and requires little day-to-day supervision.

The expected start date is January 19, 2009. The expected end date for
this 6 month project is July 17, 2009. The work schedule will be
8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
