Peoplesoft Oracle Database Administrator /System Admin The PeopleSoft Oracle DBA/System Admin is responsible for managing and administering the enterprise database platforms and supporting application services in a 24x7 production environment. The core application services are PeopleSoft-based HRMS modules. The DBA will provide logistical support, monitoring, maintenance, and management of all enterprise server tiers. In a secondary capacity, additional technical and functional contributions may be required in support of the business systems. Implement database design and provide ongoing technical support. Job Responsibilities: * Oracle Database Management - software installation, creation, tuning and maintaining of databases. * Coordinates database changes and tests. Provide administrative and Technical support for PeopleSoft HRMS, Payroll, eModules, Data Conversion and Performance Management. This individual will support PeopleSoft applications including Application Server, Process Scheduler server, Web Server and oracle databases. * Additional responsibilities include the installation of Oracle and PeopleSoft software, patches, trouble-shooting problems, Performance Tuning, Software Configuration, Capacity Planning, Architecture and Migrations. * Security Administration - create users and assign privileges to tables * Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Job Requirements: * Required Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university. * 7+ Years: Database management, data analysis and problem resolution required. Candidate must have 5+ years of experience configuring and tuning Oracle 10g/11i for a Peoplesoft 8.x, 9.x environments and experience with Oracle database installations, upgrades, patches, backup and recovery, and performance tuning. * Preferred: Oracle 9i/ 10g and/or Certified Professional Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MSDBA).
