*Job Description:*
- Software Process Engineer is responsible for implementing & supporting
a set of standard software engineering processes used by agencies. **
- SPE participates in the entire life-cycle of software process. **
- Direct and participate in teams working on analysis, design,
construction, testing and implementation of new processes. Focus on business
requirement/operational aspects of project.**
- Work within team environment with strong communication skills,
providing support to team.**
- Provide support in planning and scheduling activities, timelines,
milestone development.**
- Provide support in tracking and monitoring success of process
improvements.**
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.**
- Produce technical documentation, project timelines, design
specifications.**
- Communicate to team, and to partner agencies, at times making
explanatory presentations to many audiences.**
*Specific Tasks:***
- Experience in writing technical documentation, such as detailed design
specifications. This design work will involve web services, data indexing
and searching, and a browser-based user interface.**
- Experience in writing business documentation such as Project Plans,
timelines. **
- Create and provide timelines and project milestones.**
- Experience in formulating Business Cases scenarios into business
requirements and expressing such to programmatic team.**
- Experience working within multiple vendor setting.**
- Experience in liaising w/vendors, business clients.**
- Excellent verbal communication skills.**
- Experience in conveying project message to various audiences through
use of presentation and briefing skills.**
- Understand concepts for and work with team to develop, review data
standards, XML data standards.**
- Understand concepts for and work with team to develop, review data
exchange or data sharing models.**
- Familiarity with Web Service design, coding, testing.**
- Familiarity with schemas, subschemas, XML, GJXML, NIEM and standards.*
