Location: Alpharetta, GA Duration: 12/31/2008 Rate: $50/HR REQUIRED SKILLS: SQL SERVER AND SQL *Tax Systems Senior Developer Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the development of system solutions to support process automation initiatives within the Tax Department, along with the ongoing monitoring, support, and maintenance of previously implemented systems. Responsibilities include extensive, hands-on database design work and coding in a MS SQL Server 2005 environment, various data maintenance tasks, and user interface design involving a variety of tools. The position directly interfaces with personnel within the Tax Department, with other departments within Finance, and with members of the IT organization, and with outside software vendors. The role of the Tax Process & Data Management group is to advance the use of technology within the Tax Department to drive process efficiency improvements and to improve the availability, accuracy, and security of the data used by the department. A primary focus is placed on managing the large, data-intensive processes within Tax, such as the reporting of fixed asset detail, billing records, General Ledger information, and other processes involving large volumes of data. Because of its unique blend of technology expertise and extensive experience with Tax and Accounting processes and data, this group is able to respond rapidly with effective solutions to meet the complex and ever-changing needs of the business processes within the Tax Department. This position will require a thorough knowledge of database concepts and SQL coding, including database structure design, creation of tables and views, management of table relationships and data integrity, complex queries and stored procedures, large-scale data update processes, and numerous other advanced database programming concepts.
