The Fund's IT organization supports 4500 users, a wide variety of infrastructure and application systems, and remote offices in almost 100 cities around the globe. *Main duties and responsibilities* Provides expert level design, installation, configuration and maintenance of the clients web, streaming media, SharePoint, and SQL infrastructure and related components in an enterprise environment. Components include Microsoft IIS, Office SharePoint Server (MOSS), SQL Server, various web and database security products, access and identify management systems, as well as web monitoring and analytics products. Designs, develops, enhances, tests and implements technology solutions to address complex problems. Functions as technical lead for technology project teams and collaborates with team members to create and refine solutions and leads systems integration planning and design efforts. Provides technical coaching to project team members and assists in the formulation and management of project budgets. Provides input to buy vs. build recommendations. Participates in the analysis of system options, risk, cost/benefit, and impacts on business processes and goals. May take part in the evaluation and selection process for commercial products or services, participating in the RFP creation and evaluation process. Maintains existing web infrastructure or systems and troubleshoots to identify errors or deficiencies. Participates in the brainstorming of possible solutions and the evaluation of alternatives against decision criteria. Is accountable for the resolution of Tier III internal and vendor support issues. Assists in the formulation of web, security, web casting, and database systems architecture. Responsible for developing, maintaining and reviewing comprehensive technical architectural, operations, and user documentation. Participates in disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Also plays a key role in the design and implementation of high availability and business continuity solutions for key infrastructure systems and components. *Qualifications:* Advanced university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field of study or equivalent, plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience; or a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field of study plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience. The candidate should also have the following expertise: In depth knowledge of networking (IP protocols, routing, etc.), web and database systems, data communications and protocols, file servers and application servers (in a variety of software and operating system environments), database technology, remote access, security, web and web streaming technologies and directory services. Proven expertise in the operation, administration, maintenance and engineering of large enterprise web, web streaming, and database infrastructure systems. Extensive experience installing, configuring and maintaining web and database infrastructure components including MS IIS, Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007, MS SQL Server, Apache, CA Etrust SiteMinder, MS ISA Server, Veritas Storage Foundation, Search Engines, Multimedia Web Systems, and Active Directory components. Scripting and/or programming skills are a plus. Skilled in the application of advanced network management and diagnostic tools for predictive analysis, trending, and problem resolution. Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to customers and management. Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to develop and articulate IT strategies is also required. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
