*Position : Application DBA*** *Location : RTP, NC* *Duration : 6 months CTH* *Hourly rate : DOE* * * *This is a contract to perm position for an Application DBA.* *Must have Technical Skills* § *Well-rounded, Strong ANSI SQL coding skills.** Experience with multiple Databases (like MS SQL, Oracle, MYSQL, Sybase and others) is a must-have. MS SQL experience is a must. * § *In-depth knowledge of two or more of the following reporting tools: Crystal, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), Cognos and Hyperion.** SSRS is desired and our primary reporting platform.* § *Strong Database and Query tuning experience* § *In-depth experience with ETL.** **SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) preferred.*** § *Strong experience in creating and maintaining Data Warehousing solutions.** * § *Strong experience with developing solution that are driven by Meta-data.*** § *Visual Basic and .NET experience * * * *Primary Database Responsibilities* § *Detail design responsible for connecting existing and new system* § *Tuning and optimizing existing and new development* § *Review of all code and designs associated with database design and queries.* § *Leading Technical review and migration to Software-as-a-Service (**SaaS**) solutions.** * § *Development of templates and standards to shorten timelines and simply support* § *Analyze process flow requirements and determine impacts on design* § *Leverage meta-data techniques to allow for expansion of functionality without additional coding.* * * *Secondary* § *Conversion of Crystal reports to SSRS; Complex report writing in SSRS* § *Writing install scripts and self-service support applications* § *Development of store procedures and views* -- Regards, Anand Bandarupally Ling Technologies, Inc.
