Position can sit in OH or NJ. Job Description: Seeking a System Administrator to join the Windows sever team in the Infrastructure Service Delivery group in Investment Management Americas. System Administrators perform production support and execute on project tasks for our highly virtualized Windows environment supporting the application infrastructure for our line of business. SAs will be called upon to participate in project and troubleshooting activities involving Microsoft SQL, Websphere, IIS, MQ and various vendor and internally developed applications. ** Responsibilities: Install support and maintain Windows, VMware and Linux servers and networks Troubleshooting OS, network, storage, tools and middleware issues Participate in discretionary project activities Security configuration, auditing and patching Performance reporting and tuning Capacity reporting and management Adherence to firm incident, change and problem management processes 24x7 on-call rotation duties Creating and maintaining support documentation Scripting and automating routine support activities Using and improving monitoring tools ** Qualifications/Skills: VMWare VI3 (VMotion and HA) needs to be an expert Experienced in application deployment Financial Services experience preferable Windows server product (2000, 2003, and 2008, tools and functions) Active Directory Microsoft Clustering Linux Terminal Services Citrix Local attached, SAN and NAS storage Veritas Netbackup Fundamental network experience Experience resolving issues and collaborating remotely Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and services (DNS, LDAP, HTTP, Ipfilters etc) Proficiency in one or more BC/DR products (SRDF and Application based Replication techniques) ** Pluses: OpsWare Quest Foglight Physical and virtual modem server technologies Tideway Thanks & Regards,
