The client is completing the migration of the current SQL-Server based Commonwealth Information Warehouse (CIW) to the Netezza platform and, at the same time, is upgrading its Netezza appliances. CIW is the Commonwealth*s primary source for the reporting of financial, payroll, and human resource data. The selected candidate will help drive all upgrade activities necessary for the successful migration of the warehouse to the new appliance. The candidate will also play a visible and collaborative leadership role for all supporting services such as, but not limited to, infrastructure planning, hardware configuration and installment, security, architecture, network configuration and testing, etc. as well as any remaining migration activities yet to be defined. Specific tasks will be assigned by the Director of Enterprise Systems Services. These tasks include but are not limited to: · Responsible for managing the overall appliance upgrade project and it’s deliverables · Control the planning and execution of activities and resources to ensure that cost, time and quality goals are met. · Define, revise and document project plans · Track and manage the project schedule and task details included in the project plan. · Analyze actual performance against plan and make adjustments consistent with the plan objectives · Accountable for successful project delivery; monitor project health and escalate issues as appropriate · Manage issues from root cause to mitigation · Responsible for the hardware configuration, installation and baseline testing of the appliance upgrade · Work closely with the Operations, Security, Network and Technology staff to finalize the architecture and infrastructure planning · Lead/facilitate or participate in joint sessions with the Operations, Security, Network and Technology staff · Work with the Security Group as needed to ensure that all security connectivity is in place · Work with the Network team on the planning, configuration and testing as required · Work collaboratively with management, business representatives and the project team to define and mutually understand the project scope and obtain · stakeholder sign-off · Any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Enterprise Systems Services Qualifications at hire: * Strong MSProject skills * Proficient in project planning, organizing, team motivation and delegation * Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Excellent documentation skills * Team player and able to manage others through teamwork * Goal-oriented, self-directed, needs little direction * Ability to work with tight deadlines in an ever changing environment * Able to collaborate as a strong team member in a fast paced environment * Able to integrate information from multiple sources in order to anticipate issues, come up with solutions, and resolve the problems * Prior experience with state government desirable -- Thanks & Regards, Ajay Recruiter Aclat Inc Voice : 847-403-3200 Fax : 847/577-2568 [email protected] www.aclatinc.com Y IM : jas_vishwak It is not a solicitation attempt!!!To be non-recepient/s, Please revert to us, indicating "REMOVE" either in the subject line or in the Text.
