The SMS Support Team needs to support business users (finance and customer
care) in resolving discrepancies detected in our system behavior and in
financial and activity reports. Typically, we analyze the report and assist
in reconciling it to its underlying SMS data, determine the root-cause of
the discrepancy, and then facilitate a resolution. This task requires
specialized knowledge of the SMS, the ability to read and modify code, the
ability to understand the larger business issues involved, and once a
root-cause is known, the ability to propose changes to code, reports,
operational processes, etc to meet the business needs. These needs exist
year-round, but our audit periods require especially timely responsiveness.
This individual is also needed to review upcoming SMS changes and determine
their operational impact (eg: changes to data or process) and to verify that
the performance and reliability standards are met through each successive
release.
Bachelors degree in IT-related field required, Masters degree preferred
10+ years of work experience demonstrating escalating technical
responsibilities
5+ years of experience with Oracle BRM (formerly, Portal Infranet)
Oracle BRM experience must include Oracle BRM 7.0 or higher
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all
levels

*Ability for "light" travel to NYC and work with NYC-based staff (2
days/week to 1 week/month)
Comfortable working with business users in marketing, finance, and customer
care
Comfortable working with IT teams including DBAs, hardware support,
and business
intelligence
Understanding software development lifecycle principles and tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
Strong organizational skills and attention to details
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Oracle BRM specific experience, including:
o Experience implementing Multi-national Oracle BRM systems.
o Experience implementing web services using Apache Struts or Struts 2.*
