Need Local to CA Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer Responsibilities You will have a key role in designing and developing an integrated SQA process, framework and tests from scratch to ensure applications are released to market on time and with a high standard of quality. Working from the backend real-time event processing (multi-threaded Java) and DB layers (Hibernate, Oracle, SQL) through the front end Web Application layer (DHTML, JS, AJAX, JSF, Java Application Logic), your mission will be to define and execute an overall SQA methodology that results in a high level of satisfaction for our users. Specifically, you will: a.. Define and implement a test framework to support efficient functional, regression, performance and stress test for Java server and database. b.. Work with product management and software engineering to define test plans and schedules for each product release c.. Define and develop the test cases and follow through with hands-on test execution d.. Define and execute integration test for the complete system e.. Contribute early to product design decisions to ensure testability and robustness of new products and features f.. Create and maintain automated test suites Required Experience a.. BS/MS in CS or equivalent with at least 4 years of software quality assurance experience testing and releasing mission critical enterprise applications b.. At least 1 year experience leading and/or hands-on managing QA teams c.. 2+ years programming/scripting experience designing and developing complex automated test scripts; python experience preferred d.. Strong Oracle and/or MySQL DB scripting skills e.. Excellent Windows and Unix knowledge. At ease for test environment setup. f.. Critical thinking for the complete system layout and integrated testing strategy g.. Knowledge of multi-tier architectures, Java-based systems, relational databases and related application technologies. h.. Expertise in backend API and DB testing methodologies and large scale performance and scalability testing i.. Experience designing and implementing flexible and robust automated test frameworks j.. Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills and ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams k.. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic small company environment. Resourceful, flexible, and able to solve complex problems. l.. Passionate about quality and relentless in getting to the root cause of a problem yet pragmatic and efficient in your approach. m..
