Position: Genesys CTI Network Engineer

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

Duration: 6+ Months

Description:

 

Develops specifications for complex systems, design, and test voice and/or data 
communications solutions. Designs complex system upgrades. Leads the evaluation 
of vendor proposals, conducts network studies and traffic analyses, develops 
network architectures, prepares forecasts of network traffic and capacity, and 
recommends modifications to the network configurations that reduce costs or 
improve service. Serves as a high level technical resource on large-scale voice 
and/or data communications issues. May direct or serve as a mentor to less 
experienced staff.

CTI Network Engineer


Requirements/Duties:


Experience in a Genesys CTI environment including STRONG network and premise 
based routing logic design and debug skills
Experience with VoIP and SIP technology. Preference for candidates with Cisco 
IP Telephony experience. 
Strong background in utilizing carrier based routing such as MCI Gateway 
Services or AT&T ICP services, as well as the ability to manipulate network 
plans to integrate into a CTI environment.
Extensive knowledge of IP Telephony architecture and requirements. 
Experience designing and implementing VoIP network infrastructure, addressing 
capacity and organic growth. 
Working knowledge of Genesys CTI call delivery 
Working knowledge of Genesys Network (Cloud) call routing. 
Experience converting legacy TDM call delivery to IP based platforms. 
Communication: ability to discuss and document Network architecture 
functionality, network flow, and explain concepts to both technical and 
non-technical audiences.
Pull and analyze network utilization reports. 
Determine potential bottlenecks and points of failure in both networks and 
firewalls. 
Working knowledge of industry standard Best Practices as related to Security. 

(Candidates without this minimum skillset will not be considered): 


Contact center background 
Experience with either Genesys CTI and/or VXML-based IVR (Voice Genie strongly 
preferred) 
Experience implementing VoIP, SIP and IP PBX Telephony Systems 
Very strong documentation skills 

Platform and Skill Set Expertise: Network Administration, Network Security, 
Voice / Telecom., Visio, UNIX.
