1. Mainframe Developer - 4 Resources . CICS, JCL, COBOL, VSAM, IMS DB. See few notes below o IMS calls are available in copybooks and are standardized o Call to IMS are standard CBLTDLI calls o IMS programming mode are DL1 and BMP o VSAM is widely used in the batch environment o Resources should be strong SORT and JCL . Use of DB2 is very limited . No IMS/DC . No knowledge of MQ series is required . Report and file manipulation is done using SAS and Easytrieve . DATAVAN - IMS utility will be used for testing and development . File-AID is used to VSAM and Sequential file manipulations . Source version control is done via in-house tool Mainframe Change Management (MCM). This will be a series of panel and clist that is easily to learn . Knowledge of Clist, Skeleton for the Batch JCL environment Other Skills: . Transcentury date was used for Y2k conversion and hence knowledge of Transcentury date routine will be good . Xpeditor and Intertest are the debugging tools . Job scheduling for SIT and other testing are done using CA-Jobtrac All programs are not L.E compliant and hence we will need to train the resources on COBOL DUMP analysis 2. Mainframe Test Lead - 3 Resources . Requirement capture is currently being done using a in-house application . Prepare and manage the Test Strategy/ Overall Test Management . Prepare and execute regression test JCL and test beds 3. Mainframe Testester/Analyst - 4 Resources . Manual testing environment - Hence the knowledge of JCL, IMS DB, DATAVAN and CICS will be important . Testing repository for document management is clear case . There are different test environment available .
