Tasks:

CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

o Provide CM and IT Change Governance for the Claims Enhancement project.

o The candidate shall implement a Configuration Management (CM) program to
identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of the
project and to control changes, evaluate existing CM programs, identify CM
items, maintain status accounting records and reports and participate in
system configuration development and maintenance review.



OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

o The candidate shall provide management of the current physical
configurations of IT systems.

o Maintaining IT systems includes operations, monitoring of
application/system software and hardware operations, routine/high priority
system problem identification and high priority corrective action.



SOFTWARE SUPPORT

o The candidate shall provide support for IT software to include but not
limited to; evaluating current operational software for enhancements,
installing and maintaining software upgrades or modifications,
install/test/maintain new software procured by IT systems, conducting tests
of all new releases and modifications and completing and/or updating all
documentation affected by required changes.

o The candidate shall provide results from requested actions, an
implementation plan written and routed through appropriate approvals and
user notifications.

o The candidate shall ensure that upgrade/modifications of IT software are
stable and backup is maintained.



HARDWARE/INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT

o The candidate shall provide support for IT hardware to include technical
engineering and programmatic support through requirements definition,
design, identification, implementation, installation, integration, test and
acceptance.

o The candidate shall provide hardware/firmware documentation, if any,
generated as a result of or used in the performance of the SOW.



TECHNICAL SUPPORT

o The candidate shall provide technical support for IT systems to include,
but not limited to, technical advice and engineering support across IT
systems.

o The candidate shall control and manage IT connections; coordinate the
resolution of problems; control, manage and trouble-shoot IT systems and
conduct logical operating system fault monitoring.

o The candidate shall manage verification of access control, and
documentation of audit trails.

o Conduct training and knowledge transfer on new environments with FTEs.



o The Candidate may be required to provide the following plans:

Systems Strategy Plan

Implementation Plan

Maintenance Plan

Configuration Management Plan

Transition Plan



General Required Skills:

1. The internal drive, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn, and desire
to help the customers succeed 2. Strong technical skills 3. Comfortable
working under Project Manager supervision 4. Ability to work proactively



Specific Required Skills:

1. Configuration Management engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience
in a Mid-tier/mainframe environment including:

a. Serena ChangeMan ZMF

b. Serena Dimensions CM

c. Serena TeamTrack

d. WebSphere Application Server

e. MVS, ISPF, CICS

f. Unix/Linux Operating System(s),

g. Korn shell scripting

h. Extensive SDLC experience.



Additional Specific Skill sets Sought:

1. Enterprise Service Bus

2. Business Rules Engines

3. SOA

4. Java

5. Knowledge System Alerts/ Monitoring tools (Nastel, Tivoli, Servista)
