*Senior Java Developer with ACH Experience Needed* MINNEAPOLIS MN Application Systems Engineer
Rate: 45/Hr Inc Max Resource Requirement = 2 Positions Acts as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan. Provide primary and/or back up support in resolving production issues/resolution. Ideal candidate will have the following qualities. 4 year degree and 7+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good hands on and strong experience with J2EE technologies. Experience with shell scripting to create large reports. Experience with development builds, application deployments, integration/enterprise testing, and support of applications within a production environment. Must be self driven who can at a minimum create small to medium size apps from start to finish on their own. Must have strong SQL experience with a relational database (emphasis on queries and JDBC interaction versus DBA tasks). The candidate should also be familiar with good database design patterns and concepts [referential integrity, primary keys, foreign keys, many to many relationships, indexes, normal forms etc...]. We use Microsoft SQL Server (2000), Db2 and Oracle 9i.
