Description: Business Analyst - Financial Services Client has an immediate contract opportunity for a Business Analyst with brokerage, wealth management or investments expertise! This position could possibly turn into a permanent opportunity and is located in Raleigh, NC! This individual will collaborate with a group of developers and analysts responsible for a suite of Wealth Management software applications. Responsibilities include: * Working with developers, other analysts, and business users to design modifications to current applications and build new systems based on user requests * Interpreting and refining user requirements to make development efficient and focused * Following project methodology to ensure proper documentation and checkpoints are achieved * Collaborating with business owners, users, and technical resources to develop and execute test scripts, plan test cycles, and analyze test results * Testing modifications to ensure they meet defined requirements without adversely affecting previous functionality * Lead group and individual discussions to collect requirements from business owners and end users * Prepare, distribute, and present system documentation to end users, build ad-hoc reports, and provide second-level production support * Responding to end-user questions and work with business users to identify and diagnose existing production software issues The candidate should feel comfortable working in a cross-functional environment partnering with peers, senior management, and teams to align projects and tasks with business-driven focus. Job Requirements * Four-year college degree (BA, BS, BBA) Accounting, Business, Finance with a minimum of 4 years prior financial and/or banking and/or brokerage experience having performed roles such as an analyst or tester within a data processing department. * Technical proficiency in desktop software including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, & Visio. * Must have skills include software requirements gathering, test script and plan development, some project management, as well as SDLC and Agile experience Thanks & Regards, Angela Thomas Account Manager - Data Group Inc.
