Start date: ASAP end date: 12/31/2009 project: Selling system releases and support functional testing activities statement: Support functional testing of selling and pricing system releases during Q3 and Q4. Develop and conduct a wide range of tests and analysis to ensure that software, systems, and services meet minimum company standards and defined end-user and system requirements. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience from which knowledge and skills may be obtained. Four - Six years experience testing distributed web-based applications or complex financial systems. skill: Mid-level (3-7 yrs) skills: UNIX SQL Working understanding of Oracle/DB2/SQL Server Working knowledge of software development life cycle Create test cases and test data using Rational/Mercury tools Execute test cases and provide metrics and updates to the test lead Accessing Web application Unix logs and accessing database via SQL to validate test cases and troubleshoot system malfunctions. Create and update the RTM as required Document test results and coordinate with peers on testing activities Conduct a wide range of tests and analysis with full competency to ensure that software, systems, and services meet minimum company standards and defined end-user (functional) and system (non-functional) requirements. Desired Skills Basic knowledge of QTP/VB scripting or Rational Robot Knowledge of PE Selling and Pricing systems is desirable !!!!!!!!!!This position requires a solid team player who is an analytical thinker and detail oriented. Candidates should display strong verbal and written communication and a proactive demeanor.
