This position also requires that the individual work with the sales organization in pre-sales activities and to assist in the preparation of project proposals from a technical viewpoint. The individual is also responsible for technical prototyping of designed application architecture. The individual in this position should have the experience in all aspects of application development in the business world and extensive experience in all aspects of system integration and basic understanding of network system and hardware. *Responsibilities: *• Analyze, define, and document technical requirements. • Architecting solution options according to high level analysis. • Review high-level architecture options with business and technical stakeholders and clients. • Define and document the final architecture. • Development of Work Effort and cost estimates. • Assist in post-implementation continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality • Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about systems. *Qualifications: *1. Minimum of 5-7 years full life cycle experience in building Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence solutions. 2. Minimum 5-7 years of experience with Informatica ETL in design and development capacity (currently using Informatica!) 3. Must have a comprehensive understanding of Data Warehouse Architectures, concepts and technologies. 4. Data modeling expertise strongly desired. 5. Extensive experience and specialization in ETL processes and a comprehensive understanding of Data Warehouse Architectures 6. Expert in designing and developing complicated ETL mappings using Informatica PowerCenter 7. Proficient in optimizing performance issues using Informatica PowerCenter 8. In depth understanding of data profiling, data modeling, entity-relationship modeling and dimensions modeling 9. Strong SQL skills – transferable across Oracle and Teradata. 10. Teradata expertise and high-volume data warehouses. 11. Data modeling and understanding of dimensional and 3NF data architectures 12. Ability to rationalize benefits and reasons for using dimensional and 3NF data architectures 13. Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Teradata 6.2 14. Experienced with Business Objects XI R2 / Crystal Reports 15. Experienced using SQL Navigator and TOAD 6.2 preferred 16. Experienced in performance tuning heavy queries and optimizing Informatica PowerCenter workflows 17. Expertise in the analysis of business processes, workflow, data mapping and cross-data integration in complex data warehouse environments. 18. Extensive experience transforming business requirements into technical specifications and source-to-target mappings. 19. Experience with relational (OLTP) and dimensional (BI/ Data Warehouse) data bases 20. In tune with the latest BI and Data Warehousing best practices 21. Promotes the use of BI/DW best practices, methodologies and industry standards 22.
