Performs UNIX system administration for Linux and Solaris servers running Veritas or Sun cluster technology with SAN attached storage. b.. Support enterprise-wide application implementations, e.g. Linux, Solaris, Apache, and WebLogic. c.. Performs system administration for other Unix operating systems if needed (AIX) d.. Serves as subject matter expert (SME) on systems problem resolution activities and tools. e.. Identifies and recommends process improvements to provide more effective troubleshooting of complex hardware and software problems. Required education/experience: a.. BS / Masters Degree (MS) or technical institute degree / certificate in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, technical designations and work experience. b.. Approximately 5 to 7 years of related experience in IT functions. c.. Typically experienced across two IT areas or single operational area across multiple computing platforms. d.. Responsibilities more heavily weighted toward analytics than operations. e.. Practical experience of project management disciplines.
