PeopleSoft Upgrade Specialist, Technical Lead, and PS Administrator 

 

Client is seeking an individual with a minimum of 10 years technical IT
experience, including 5 years PeopleSoft, with at least 3 complete
PeopleSoft upgrades, and 3 years Oracle DBA experience.  A minimum of 5
years experience in a technical lead role.  In addition, upgrade experience
should include upgrades of HR, Payroll, and Time & Labor with employee
populations over 50,000, 2,000+ users and terabyte sized databases.  The
individual must possess hands on technical expertise with PeopleSoft version
8.9 or 9.0, Oracle database administration, UNIX-AIX, and PeopleSoft upgrade
process.  The initial duration of this assignment is for 9 to 12 months. 

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS (10 years minimum experience):

 

.         PeopleSoft upgrade experience utilizing Change Assistant/Upgrade
Assistant in an Oracle/UNIX-AIX environment

.         Previous experience in the role of technical upgrade specialist on
upgrade projects to HCM 9.0

.         Excellent knowledge of the PeopleSoft upgrade process including
applying updates, fixes and patches with upgrades to HCM 8.9 or 9.0

.         Understanding of data structure changes between application
releases and impact to application functionality

.         Experience with PeopleSoft Application DBA activities including
PIA administration, configuration and tuning

.         Knowledge of and ability to provide knowledge transfer to
technical team members on PeopleSoft tools and technologies such as
Integration Broker, Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine,
Security from a PS Admin perspective, and Workflow

.         Strong experience with AIX and UNIX shell scripting

.         Experience with SOA, JAVA/J2EE based web services; configuration
and orchestration with third party systems and PeopleSoft

.         Proven experience as a technical lead in large and complex HRIS
upgrade projects

.         Experience directing, leading, managing, and mentoring technical
staff 

.         Proven experience in delivering large and complex projects on
budget and on schedule

.         Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision both
independently and as part of a team

.         Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written
communication skills
