Title: Software Application Developer/Analyst IV



Under direct supervision, assists in the analysis, design, programming, and
modification of computer programs for software products and/or customer
applications. Writes code and completes programming, testing, and debugging
of applications. Finalizes forms, procedures, and documentation needed for
installation and maintenance of application programs. May interface with
marketing and users to add new or custom features to company products.
Typically requires a technical degree in Computer Science or related
discipline. 6 - 8 years of experience.

* Candidates must currently be in the Chicago area now. There will only be
face-to-face interviews. There will be some travel to Plano. *

Role: This role supports the accountabilities of the DMO Data Quality Team
in the development and delivery of enterprise data tools and applications to
support project and production data reports and analytic models as it
relates to the delivery of the Project One Up Meta Data Repository (MDR)

This position reports to the DMO Data Quality team lead, and will work
closely with the DMO Governance team, project release teams and process
teams, as well as 3rd party development consultants that make up the DMO
Data Quality Team

The DMO Data Quality Senior Developer Lead position requires strong business
skills and would be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and
building/modifying applications including script build, coding, testing,
debugging and installing patches/enhancements to support DMO applications
and environment

The position requires at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a
related area. You must have expert knowledge of relational databases,
metadata governance, web and client-server concepts, and be able to rely on
experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Key Role Accountabilities:
• Build and coordinate application architecture to support
business/analytical requirements to ensure data quality
• Analyze data contained in source/target databases and identify
cross-system data integrity issues and identify business rules to build
applicable queries and processes
• Produce technical procedures and documentation for the applications
including operations, user guide, training materials, etc
• Understand technical issues and identify architecture and code
modifications needed to support changing user requirements for multiple DMO
applications
• Manage gathering of business requirements to support build of DMO
applications
• Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of
applications and information systems
• Responsible for the management and strategy of maintaining DMO application
environment; ensuring environment structure meets best practice
• Build out data entry screens and reporting functionality for Meta Data
Repository using industry best practices

 Role Requirements:
• Minimum of 7 years of technology experience with at least 5 years
development/hands-on technical roles in the field and relies on experience
and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Knowledge of data architecture and data integration processes using
multiple vendor specific packages
• Experience working with Master Data in SAP or other ERP system
• Technical experience with database technologies, database programming, web
application development, and user support
• Strong background in Database architecture and administration using
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or equivalent
• Background in Microsoft .NET, C#, Java, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Excel (VBA),
Sharepoint and Oracle
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage
changing priorities
• Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a
team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing
priorities
• Acceptance and willingness to work outside of normal business hours
• Results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced
environment
• Exhibit a strong 'can-do', 'will-do' attitude and strong sense of urgency
in meeting deadlines
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with business
partners and manage expectations
• Deliver presentations to a variety of audience levels, gaining experience
through leading meetings and preparing and giving group presentations

escalates issues to appropriate level
