Client requires the services of a “platinum” level SAP SD (Sales and
Distribution) Consultant/Solution Architect to on an SAP project.
Client has been on SAP for 2.5 years. This SAP project is to review and
reevaluate the current design that has been implemented at Clients, and to
perform a formal Gap Analysis for 2 affiliate companies that are considering
migrating to SAP.
Client wants to adopt best practices and standard SAP processes, wherever
possible. The consultant will need to systematically evaluate all the
processes that have been implemented in the SD module and make
recommendations for improving and streamlining the current design that has
been implemented. This will include prototyping any changes to the design
and writing detailed blueprint documents for any changes.
Also included in this SAP project, is the formal Gap Analysis for 2
affiliate companies (both are Aerospace and Defense manufacturing
companies). These companies are currently on 2 different non-SAP ERP
systems and this project involves a systematic analysis of all their current
processes and the blueprinting and prototyping of how their processes will
be done on SAP. The goal is to develop as many common processes across all
3 companies (Client and the 2 affiliate companies, as practical).
*The consultant needs to have served as a “platinum” level SAP SD Solution
Architect on at least 3 other Aerospace and Defense SAP manufacturing
implementations*. They must have extensive knowledge of SAP SD
configuration and its integration with other modules. They must have
experience with manufacturing and the processes of make to stock, make to
order, and engineer to order. They must fully understand sales orders,
shipping, resource related billing and returns.
The consultant must have excellent leadership and communication skills and
be able to work effectively in a team environment. They must also be able
to work flexible hours if required to meet the project schedule.
*Consultant Tasks:*

The consultant, who will report to the Project Manager, will be required to:
· Review and evaluate all the current processes used by Clients in
the SD module.
· Make recommendations for improvements. Prototype any recommended
changes and write the detailed blueprint documents and configuration
documents.
· Perform the Technical Lead responsibilities for the Gap Analysis
for the 2 affiliate companies for the SD module. In conjunction with the
Business Analyst and other team members, develop flowcharts of the current
processes and the proposed processes in SAP.
· Develop prototypes of the processes in SAP and write the blueprint
documents and configuration documents for the SD processes.
· Lead functional workshops on the proposed processes in SAP.
· Identify and help design and document any reports, interfaces,
conversions, enhancements, or workflows required.
· work with the Project Manager to identify and mitigate risks and
resolve issues
· Perform other SD related tasks that are required to ensure that
the project is completed successfully and on schedule.
*Background:*
Client is currently on ECC 6.0 and Enterprise Portal 7.0.
It has implemented the following SAP modules: MM, SD, FI, CO, PS, HR,
Payroll, CATS, PP, QM, DM, and WM modules.
It also uses BW.
