*Location: NY, NY* *Duration: 6 months * Lead initiatives to improve visual, functional consistency across product frameworks and components, and align navigation with the client workflow Manage tools for supporting product release cycles – including enhancements to existing tools & development of new ones Participate in design initiatives, including wireframes, composites, prototypes, graphics & documentation Apply UCD principles to business requirements and create consistent, user-centric design comps *This is primarily a user interface design position – not a development position, although CSS and HTML skills are plus.* * * Desired Skill Set: BA/BS required, in addition to a minimum 5-8 years experience in the area of user experience, User-Centered Design and/or information architecture Proven experience with formal design methodologies Expertise with consistency, user-centered navigation, logical structure, page design, response time and concept modeling Experience with concept diagrams, site maps, user profiles, scenarios, mockups and prototypes Project management & process orientation Strong leadership skills, especially by influence; negotiation skills High energy, hard working; ability to juggle multiple priorities Ability to work with broad cross functional teams and motivate teams in the execution of the vision and to deliver quality results under aggressive timelines Proactive Strong coordination and communication skills Proven analysis & organizational skills Effective writing & communication skills Experience building cross-functional relationships, educating about usability Working technical skills Working knowledge of HTML, Javascript, ASP, VBScript, Photoshop and MSOffice tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook) Familiarity with .css and .Net a plus Human Interface or Information Design degree a plus.
