Must be experienced (see qualifications below) and must be able to hit the ground running. Job is 40 hours a week for 6 to 12 months (with long term potential). ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - .Net 3.5/WPF/WCF/C# development - Development and consumption of Web Services - Interaction with SQL databases - OO design, documentation and automated unit testing - Participate in design and code reviews - Estimate work, produce plans, and work in an Agile iterative environment Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Required Skills: Significant professional experience developing smart client applications in .NET using WPF/XAML. Significant professional experience developing and consuming WCF/SOAP web services Strong understanding of fundamental internet and networking technologies Experience performance tuning applications Comfortable working in a distributed team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Desired Skills: Technologies: *Oracle 10g, SQL Server* *Subversion, Cruise Control, Nunit/MSTest* *Micorsoft .NET / WCF /WPF* *Web Services – SOAP,WSDL/UDDI etc…* Previous experience with Financial Services and Investment Banking applications a plus.
