Desired skills/experience Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows system concepts Storage experience Experience in software testing/development Experience working with one or more backup applications Experience in systems troubleshooting and integration English writing skills for documenting observed behavior to internal and external customers Test automation using Perl or Ruby Team lead experience required NOTES FROM THE HIRING MANAGER He wants someone with VTL experience and the problem they are finding is that no one has enough experience for the position. Storage experience any particular kind of storage that is preferential Archive, Linux filesystem, VTL How many years of experience do they need as a minimum? 3-5 What kind of VTL experience are they looking for? Tools like Finisar, Extremescsi, Backup apps like TSM, Netbackup, Networker; Good FC and switching knowledge. I am looking at candidates with good storage background and in particularly VTL ( Virtual Tape Libraries) . Familiar with one or two backup applications , Commvault, NetBackup, Networker. Have used tools like Finisar analysers, SCSI toolbox or extreme scsi. Good QA background and variety of OS expertise specifically Linux, Solaris and Windows.
