Project Manager - (Technical) IV {SAP & Finance}
High Level Job Description:
Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all
aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors
and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management
regarding status of project. May require a bachelor's degree and at least 6
- 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a
variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on
extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a
variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of
creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head
of a unit/department.
Job Description:
The Technology Project Manager (Tech PM) position will be accountable for
all end to end RICEF deliverables for the Release 7 Finance team. The Tech
PM will participate in project kickoff and blueprinting activities for the
purpose of understanding the business process solution and how technology
supports the solution. The Tech PM will ensure that the proposed solution is
inline with One Up's IT direction. The Tech PM will receive a RICEF
inventory. This position must ensure that the RICEF inventory is
rationalized, dependencies are clearly identified, and the inventory is
properly sequenced. This position will create an end to end RICEF
deliverable project plan including Functional Design, technology acceptance,
technical design, build, and assembly test. This position will be solely
responsible for executing and managing this plan. In order to do so, the
Tech PM will need to coordinate build activities across many technology
delivery teams including but not limited to SAP development, Application
Integration, Data Warehouse Realization, Data Readiness Team, Enterprise
Data Warehouse, and various Legacy technology teams. It is the
responsibility of the Tech PM to ensure that RICEF deliverables pass
Assembly Test in time for System Test. In addition, this position will serve
as technology integrator for the Release 7 Finance team and primary point of
contact for issue resolution. It is the responsibility of the Tech PM to
ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion and escalated when
appropriate. . This position is expected to be a single point of contact for
the technology delivery teams to set priorities and determine when
additional testing support is required. The Tech PM will be expected to
represent technology in the Finance Team weekly meetings. This position will
provide implementation and methodology expertise, and facilitate the use of
the One Up methodology. The Tech PM will be expected to report accurate
status to Technology Leadership and proactively raise issues and risks when
deliverables are delayed.
Required Skill Sets:
Finance
SAP
Required Qualifications
- SAP implementation experience is a must. Hands-on experience with
ECC is a MAJOR PLUS.
- Knowledge in the following functional areas of SAP (Route accounting
and settlement, Billing and AR, Profitability Analysis, GL, Cost Center,
Profit Center accounting).
- BS in Computer Science, Business, or Information Systems.
